and my understanding is that GM will not even sell you an AW vette unless you are over 65

I don't know why I haven't thought of it before, but last night I saw a TV commercial for a local body shop ( a national franchise I'm pretty sure) advertising a complete paint job for around $250.00.
What a deal. Now all you non Arctic White owners can have your Vette painted Arctic White for a very reasonable price.
I am glad I could offer this bit of valuable info to forum members wishing they had bought Arctic White.

One thing that has amazed me is how many people tell me how much they like the red/black interior in my car. Can't speak for other regions but it sure seems like over 80% of the interiors are "ebony".

It beats me why people drive white vettes. Black is the best color after all. I have considered buying a white one though simply because I really want a nice green one and the factory won't supply me that color. Then again, perhaps black would be a better undercoat for medium green? I don't know since I'm not a painter.
Hey maxp, stop slamming people over 65. I don't like white either but don't feel it follows age. On the other hand I also don't think auto transmissions should be sold in vettes unless the driver can prove they are physically disabled or too weak to operate a clutch.
Some say all Corvettes are Red. Others may say that none should be white. Still others might say "Just say no to auto".

i would not trust them with a 1983 tercel.... much less with any decent car.
