I'm going to replace my LS3 intake with a 2006 Z06 intake. It looks like it will just drop in. Just looking to keep it stock but found out from my 04 Z06 that these engines really benefit from a catch can and with the silencer on the LS3 you have no room for it.

How and why does a catch can benefit the (stock) LS3 engine? We used to put those in forced induction engines when they were extensively modified. They never seemed to need catch cans in stock configuration...

Sounds the same, performs the same lol. I just like the cleaner look. I recently bought a halltech killer bee 2 but figured id modify the stock airbox as well. Got a tko performance filter coming too. Them im going to compare them.
