I run a couple of lbs higher than the tag on the door jam tells you to. I have done that on ALL my vehicles ever since I found out...you'll get better milage and longer tire wear by doing that and it does NOT really effect your handling in normal weather. I lower the pressure for rain and cold.

Higher tire pressure (over 30PSI) you will notice an improvement in gas mileage however the faster you go the larger effect on handling as the pressure increases. (smaller contact patch from over inflation)
When it is cold if you notice "active handling active" on the DIC because you are a bit agressive on the go pedal decrease the pressure in the rears for more grip (lower gas mileage)
But keeping the tire pressure at 30 Psi will not increase tire wear from either over or under tire inflation.
