Default Tahoe nav. beats my 08 vette nav!

I purchased an 09 tahoe last weekend and finally got the chance to go out of town with it and play around with the nav.... In my opinion,, it beats the nav in my 08 vette hands down,,,, talk about easy to use, and simple,, only a few pages for the nav. directions rather than a novel...why cant they do that in the vettes???? later rj

A Ouija Board would be a better choice as a Nav system than the unit that comes in vette. I will not have an GM unit in my next vette unless there is significant improvement.

I have an 09 and find the Nav pretty good. A bit pricey and could be better. I will tell you it is better than the Nav in 08 Mercedes and Jeeps. This is for certain.

I think there is much room for improvement. But, it gets me where I want to go and looks great.

I guess I'm just not picky enough. I like the nav in my '05. In fact, I like it a lot.

Does the GM truck NAVs now allow you to play a CD at the same time as using the NAV? If not I disagree that it is better.

I can do that in my 08 Acadia.

Cool GM improved from my 06 Envoy Denali that I had. (Didn't order a Denali with NAV when they bought the NAV one back).

My 04 Yukon Denali had the nav and the 6 disc CD player but for some reason GM felt that was way too much entertainment!

Agreed - I have a 2009 Chevy Tahoe and think the nav in that totally beats the nav in my 2008 Vette... The user interface is much easier to "navigate" (no pun intended)...

I guess it really doesn't matter, though... When I'm in the Vette, I don't need to know where I'm going - in fact, it's more fun when I get lost - 'cause that translates to MORE DRIVING!!!

I HATED the Nav unit in my Vert. Then I read the manual and learned how to use it. Different story now. It's a shame wives don't come with a manual....

An important point is made: one might enjoy using the nav system more once a good understanding is reached. That being said, I still like the system in my Tahoe more - but the Vette nav is much easier to use once the manual is read and it is played with a bit...

Wow, I'm glad I went aftermarket nav in the vette then. My 07 Tahoe's nav is the worst nav system I have ever had! If the vettes is worse, that says something.

My Nav in the '08 GMC PU is by far better than the NAV in my '07 Coupe.
You guys with the GM Nav' s might want to look into a LockPic. Makes getting around a lot easier.

You are so right! The navi in my 09 Challenger is a dream compared to the Vette's system. It is so simple to use. Love it.

Chrysler must have come a long way then. They used to be light years behind all other nav systems. They had cd units when all others had DVD based.

The NAV in my wifes Acadia is much nicer than the one in the C6. It has split screen and much better graphics. I added an '08 OEM NAV to my '05 and was dissapointed in the graphics. It seems very basic and "DOS" like. My expectations were higher. I guess that is why guys are going with aftermarket units. I stuck with the OEM unit because I prefer to keep my car "factory".

I have 2 dodge work trucks with Navs from Invion got a JC penny for 129.00.

I Have 2008 Vette Nav
I have Eclipse Nave in the H1
I have nav In a 2009 Lexus
I have an alpine Nav in a Delani

Hands down the Hand Held Invions Software is pretty damn good.
Streets are in color and have sides to them, and a real 3d view.
Im not saying I would go to a hnld held in my vette but its pretty amazing
that a 129 dollar hald held comes with better programing than top notch expensive units.
I think A bit of Reserch and Development with keep Gm up with hungry Chinese Manufactures. I use all of my units a lot I travel to 6-10 new destinations daily and I just find it funny my little handheld is much more preferable to use.

Neither do I. Fascinating how many directionally challenged people there are.
