The CD player just says 'no cd recognized' or something like that. It seemed to occur after I put in an MP3 cd, but now it won't even recognize regular cd's. The funny thing is this happened around the same time I had an HVAC problem. The HVAC problem was fixed with a battery reset, but the cd player issue continues.

Any ideas?

My cd player quite a while back too. Ended up having it replaced. It was reading the same thing, no disc detected, even though there were 6 disc in the changer. I think I only had 2 to 3 thousand miles on the car at the time. Still fairly new when this happened and no other issues at the time. So could be you just got a bad player like I did.

Do you both have remote cd players? Or are you talking about the in dash cd player?

All I have is the 2LT cd player -- single only.

My 2008 Z06, has disk changer issues, Mechanical Error is what pops up on my display, when it happens. Sometimes, I can't even get them to eject, and can only play the radio. Mine will have to be replaced, I just haven't found the time to drop it off at the dealer. This is with off the shelf, production CD's, no burnt disks. Seems that the stock in-dash 6 disk changer has bugs...
