Ok with spring just around the corner and my Vette being close enough to 1 year old. I would like to begin the slippery slope of starting to personalize my Car. What would be a good first mod? I was thinking fuel rail covers or maybe put chrome lettering on the rear bumper. Nothing to complicated and can be done over a weekend.

Mods
transparent top
GCA top bag, outdoor car cover
GCA Z06 paint match rear spoiler, door handles, license plate frame
GCA splash guards
Racemesh black front and side vent grilles
Austin Barnett Custom Badges
GCA rear mat
Coverking, Neoprene seat covers
Mild 2 Wild, CAGS fuse
Garmin Nuvi 760
I just started the same. I have a black Z-51 with the dual mod exhaust so yesterday I ordered the mild to wild switch, chrome lettering for the Corvette emblem on the rear bumber and those chrome caps to cover all the body panel screw heads in the doors, rear hatch and engine bay.
I'll be pulling off the fuel rail covers and painting them gloss black in the near future.
Varraam Cold Air Intake
Magnaflow Exhaust
Melrose Headers
Painted Red Calipers
Dyno Tune
I spent for everything, roughly $4,400 everything installed complete.
Car sounds great, not too loud unless you hit it, wife likes that, the headers and exhaust are a good combo with the CAI and a good tune.
I got almost 70 horsepower... take a look. This mod is good for the car too, engine breathes better, more fuel efficient and man does she idle nice. Happy camper here.
1. Borla Stingers
2. Padded leather console cushion
3. Custom DS Vettes (real) leather for the shifter & e-brake
4. Intake
5. Spoiler......a real one....not like the Z06
6. On and on and on.......
Temper your enthusiasm - you'll only get back 50% or less for whatever you put in it or on it. Personally, I think $1800 is rediculous for an aftermarket catback exhaust that gives sound only. But it's your ride so mod on.
chrome letter would be a good start. that is the first mod for me. got mine from cca....simple/easy and durable.
for me, deciding on what get/do was simple.....i first modify for driveabilty.....ie the dual mode exhaust switch, front end cover, rear hatch partition.....then i buy/modify to enhance the look (plan to set new pedals and more carbon fiber inserts). the stainless steel letter inserts were not that expensive so i ended up doing that first.
if you have dual mode exhaust, then the bi-mode exhaust remote is also a must.
