I know you guys must love your wives,,, I love mine (we've been married 40 yrs.. since 1969!
I'd buy her anything I can reasonably afford.. I just got her an Audi A4 Cabriolet..
I also have a 2005 C6 with only 11,000 miles on it... The only thing I "WON'T" do is let her drive my Vette!! I bought her the car she wanted... so she can be happy in her A4!! if she wants to "RIDE" as a passenger in "MY" Vette I'll take her anytime she wants... but I'll NEVER LET HER TAKE IT ALONE
We've been married 40 yrs so "Both" of us must be doing something right ... Rule #1 My Vette is MY VETTE Not "Our Vette!"
I'm sorry if I PO'd some others, but thats how I do things in our house..
I bought her the car she wanted.. she could have gotten a Vette or Caddy etc.. anything in the 50k range... she picked what she wanted.. and thats what she drives...
All is well in our household... & IF I get broadsided in my Vette while I'm driving I cant yell at anyone but myself...
I can totally relate to your pain. Every single car my wife has driven has been curbed like that, ussually within the first week. Her current car (Lexus IS-350) was curbed on both front rims before the first oil change. I bought summer mags for it and she curbed one of those within a week. I give up, she does drive the vette once and a while so far so good though. She knows if she curbs that, she's going back to work to buy a new rim cause I've had it with her not paying attention when driving.
I won't let her drive my 57 Chev though. That's off limits entirely.
grab ya a yella crayon and go to town that does suck!!!!! seems to happen to me everytime she takes my ride as well. usually its toooooo close the the curb
Enjoy your trip to Disney World. I had the pleasure of playing Trombone at Epcot back in the day.
That's the kicker!!
If I hadn't sold my wheels, this whole ordeal woulda been a LOT easier!!
I coulda just taken the Vette to my "tire guy" and he could have swapped the one rim to my old set and I could have drove home...
...but NOOOOOO.... I had to sell the rims and tires and thus remove the damn thing in my garage, take it to my "tire guy" have him remove the tire, then package it to send back to Forgeline.
We just turned in my wife's Audi A8....the lease was up. The car was an unreliable POS, so she hasn't decided what she wants next. She hates driving our other car (Dodge Magnum SRT-8) so my Vette is now in danger. After seeing your wheel, I'm even more motivated to get her into something new....fast.
My wife will never drive my C6. Sorry, she simply does not have the basic skills. And anyway, she thinks I've had a chip imbeded behind my ear that opens the doors and starts the car. She doesn't know about the fob.
