Well, after experiencing the rotating grinding sound on my 08 C6 LS3 coup from the differential I had the fluid replaced this am, and now it's all quite. Thanks to forum member for getting me the new and improved GM fluid part number.
I could not find a Chevy dealer that was open on Sat so I had my repair shop do it. I am blessed with a job and we're so busy I can't afford to take time off. Otherwise I would have taken it in and let the dealership replace it for free.
I've been doing business over 15 years with McGee folks. All of the tech's have there GM certification. Plus they own and race GM products. The cost of the gear oil was 17.00 and GM's retail was 31.00. I got a discount on the both labor and the oil. So all is good.
Yep, I just finished my diff lube change about an hour ago and my chattering is also gone. Fortunately I did have time to do it myself on my new race ramps. Fluids were bought from Gene

Reason: term change
I had picked up my differential fluid from Gene as well. Never a problem with Gene.
Keep in mind that in some cases, you may experience chatter on the first drive right after a fluid change... but after you do the figure 8's and thus work the new fluid between the clutches, you should be all set.
My differential is as quiet as ever now with the new fluid. Zero trace of chatter. And I DID have a pretty bad chatter problem at one point. The new fluid does the trick.
You might not be out of the woods yet. Had my changed and it was good for almost a year. Had it flushed again and it started up almost a year later. finally they swapped out the clutch packs. So far so good.
Well I had the dealer change the fluid in my tranny last month and the chatter and grinding stopped. Now I'm starting to hear an irritating thumping roar at low speeds, i.e. parking lots, start/stops and is associated with the accel/decel. Mechanics must hate it when we describe noises like this.
