when you get your second fob, make sure its the one for your car and is already programed. otherwise, you will have to program it to your car to get it to work. when new, your car left BG with two fobs!

Maybe not at your dealership but many dealerships survive on ignorant buyers. If buyers were all as knowledgeable as those of us who read this forum, salesmen like the one found here wouldn't last the week and dealerships wouldn't generally have such a bad reputation.

Make sure the second FOB works WITHOUT programming and don't let them have the car to "check". Your car left the factory with 2 FOBs programmed for that car. If the new one doesn't work immediately then one of the original FOBs is still floating around out there somewhere waiting to be used by persons unknown. If the dealership claims ignorance and can't find it then you need to wipe all FOBs from the car's memory and start again with the FOBs you have.

I'm assuming this is a new car. Make sure that all that was supposed to come with the car did in fact get to you.

Cargo net, privacy shade if coupe, Nav discs ETC

Sounds like either the dealer or the sales guy wants to make a little EXTRA profit OR WORSE on your sale!

Not funny

They're closed today (Powers-Swain Chevrolet) so I'll be checking with them Monday. I'm not going to raise a big stink (at first anyway). Thanks FACADE for posting that shot from the owners manual, it should be easy to prove my point now.

On another note...it's been raining for 2 days straight and we're supposed to get 4+" of snow tonight. I haven't been able to drive the car more than 10 miles since I had it.

I agree! Also, then contact GM directly and ask to know where the 2nd fob is? Let them contact the dealer and start asking questions themselves.

I guess that's another cost saving move from GM. Remember the recent $1500 price increase GM implemented while talking about during bankruptcy and low sales volumne?

Got it resolved. Called today and they "found" the missing fob. Going to pick it up when I get my perm plates. Thanks again for the feedback!

Can't believe the salesman was trying to convince it only came with 1 Fob. Glad to hear that you are going to get your 2nd Fob. When you get make sure that it actually works with your vette.

And also, please try both METAL keys in the glovebox AND in the keyhole for the trunk. Info:
