first time poster, long term lurker. Long story short, my wife "let" me buy my first vette if I promised not to get active in vette forums as my other hobbies have made her a forum widow.
I had Zebart install a new Nav Stereo, Pioneer AVIC-F700BT. Holy hell it's been a nightmare. Initially the Onstar volume was wacked and non adjustable, the USB connector didn't work, there was a loud 'pop' when powering on and off, and my door chimes where gone. I thought the peripheral module was bad. On the second install the 'pop' was worse but the usb worked fine. On the third install the changed the interface so the pop is gone but the output is at least half, meaning you can hold a conversation when it's fully cranked. Add insult to injury they installed a friggin' toggle (loose laying in center console) to adjust the onstar volume.
Soooo, after reading all I could find:
Those with aftermarket head units, can you adjust the onstar volume? If so how?
Should I tell them to reinstall my OEM gear and move on? Any other advice? Yup, it's got Bose. Ziebart is supposed to a national, professional chain.
