I realize this is not a big deal, but... My '08 coupe has no cover for the negative battery terminal. The battery has never been touched. I ordered one from a local dealer. Wouldn't fit. Turns out I have a straight, not a right-angle cable termination on the negative battery cable, so that's why. Anyone else get their car delivered without a terminal cover? It's a late-build 2008 (May 20). What's also odd is that the dealer says none are available through GM. Anyone know where to obtain one? Again, no biggie, but looks do count.
My 07 has one. But not really a big deal. As long as the positive cable is covered, which prevents any accidental arcing if some metal was to come in contact.
Add that cover to the list of missing parts for GM cost reductions. Maybe AlwaysRedDave will conduct a study to correlate MSRP to the likelihood of having a negative battery terminal cover.

You can purchase a Negative Cable Cover

2008, 01/08 build: After I took delivery, the Negative Battery Post Cover was on my list of things for the dealer to fix. The service manager fished his hand along the cable between the battery and the fender or firewall and, voila, produced the cap. Because the batteries lose charge so quickly, my guess is that the dealers are constantly putting chargers on them and the cap slides down the cable. Anyway, if you have not looked around, it might be worth a closer inspection.
