This isn't a thread bashing the price of other headers or trying to get people to purchase these ebay headers; just wanting to inform others of my findings.
The install wasn't ALL easy.
The headers themselves were superb quality and everyone that saw them commented on the quality of the welding, collector, and spike placement.
The installation of the headers was as smooth as could be desired. Had both on the block within 2.5 hours and bolted down.
The x-pipe, on the other hand, was too narrow to mate up to the collectors. We took a mapp gas torch (can be had at any home depot...nothing special) and used a vice and spreader (made out of two plates and 10" long all-thread) and worked it about 1 3/4" apart. Well that wasn't too terribly hard, but it wasn't something most wouldn't do. We then discovered that one of the collectors was about 1/2" offset from the other and regardless of spreading, the x-pipe wouldnt mate up straight. Didnt feel like taking the car to our shop to cut and weld and fit the pipe because a 20 mile drive with open longtubes is a bit much. Just took it to a local guy who does good work and he fixed us up in about 45 minutes.
Absolutely 0 leaks or rattles.
All and all I say it was VERY worth it for me. The car screams and has noticed power increase over ~3700.
Will be getting it on a dyno for a full tune within the next 2 weeks.

I have their exhaust system on my Z06.....for $300 delivered it was worth the gamble. it has a little resonance, not bad, and sounds somewhere between a Corsa and Magnaflow. I'd definetely do it again.
I thought about creating a post about it,but in the end decided not to as forum vendors would get their feathers ruffled.
Just want people to know how the install went and know what I found out about the system while putting it on for anyone else who already ordered a set or anything like that.
Had I known about the alignment issue I would've had this setup going day one rather than messing around with it for so long.

Great news, and I'm sure you can use the extra $1,000.00+ for other things as well. If you have any fab. skills at all that extra work is not all that hard at all.I hope that Co. starts selling more header sets in the future.
Another member also had an x-pipe measured to the same dimensions as my x-pipe before I modified it meaning that his would need to have the same changes made.

Is it the x pipe, or the headers? I ask this because one would think that with all the header install threads, this is the first I've heard of this.
As much as I hate knock offs, maybe the manufactures will become reasonable. The price of the big 3 is rediculous.
He installed a catback exhaust on his, not the headers. So the fitment issues would not be related.

The headers collectors are slightly offset causing the x-pipe, when mated on the collectors, to come about 2 inches off to the drivers side. Shortening one side of the x-pipe by about 1/2" solves this problem and is the cheapest way to resolve it.
Honestly you could say it was either. Either the x-pipe was made right and the headers are slightly offset or the headers could be made the same and the x-pipe could be made to fit.
We have had a set of them next to LG and AR and they were different so are these a copy of Kooks or there own. Glad it all worked out for you at a great price
Well if that's the case then I wouldn't touch them....no matter the price honestly. I'd much rather give the buisness to a company building parts in the USA......especially aftermarket mods/bolt-ons for an American icon like the vette.
