Why do you want to waste your money on an octane boost additive? Your car is programed to run on pump gas.

Just because of fuel in my local area and chuck cow told me it would be best to run in my car.

I put additive in mine, I buy the 87 octane and add my own additive, that way I know its higher octane! Many times I bought 93 and it ran like 87.......

What additive are you using to increase 6 octane points?

Torco works! My personal experience with an SRT4 with the "Stage 2 w/toys" Dodge factory upgrade required 100 octane for the increased boost and timing of the "toys" function. The best way to get 100 Octane reliably was with one 32 oz can of Torco for every 10 gallons of gas.

$20 for a quart x 4 quarts in a gallon = $80 a gallon for this crap. I don't want to hear you complaining about high gas prices if you buy this.

Why not just go and buy racing gas? you can find it almost anywhere, hell you can have it delivered by the drum.

You could use Toulene from you local paint store. sold in gallons very cheap, high octane. But too much will burn valves. Thats what sunoco uses in race fuel to boost octane.

Fuzzy math?

A quart of Torco treats 10 gallons to 100 octane. 10 gallons of gas = $21.00 + Torco @ $20.00 = $41.00 for 10 gallons of 100 Octane.

$4.10 a gallon is cheaper than any 100 Octane unleaded I've found.

Why wouldnt you run 93 octane and then put it in to be sure you're getting the most octane you can?

If you are running lower your timing will adjust to the lower timing table.

Agreed. Cheapest I've run 104 octane was 6.00 a gallon (havent found 100 octane...only 104 unleaded at the track when I was racing my nitrous-fed firebird)

In Kalifornia, 91 is what is available. Some with Methanol (not sure how bad that really is) but the summer heat makes a difference in fuel requirement. So, IMHO, a little boost is helpful in keeping the car running its best.

Yeah OK, but the question was directed to the OP who resides in Fla.

Racing gas is hard to find in unleaded in many areas and at tracks. Also,
racing fuel in an above ground tank deteriorates quickly.

Torco is a concentrate, not like the junk sold at Auto Parts stores.

I used this in my Lightning for several years and used it at the track(race program) and where I could not find 93 Octane.

A concentrate? as in they remove the water?

Get real. If you do the math, this stuff would need to have an Octane rating of 385 in order to achieve the claimed mixed ratios.
