The C6 after 2005 is a pretty solid car IMHO..I've had mine (bought new) since 2006, and have had no issues with it. Others will chime in with some more specific info, but you can also use the search function to research..chances are, most if not all of your questions are answered in other threads.
run a search on this topic. The same thread ran less than two weeks ago. There were very few things wrong with 05, just like alll the other years of the c6. What was wrong was corrected very early.
I have have had zero problems with my 05.
I've had my late-build 2005 (built in June, 2005) since new and it's been great. Based solely on my own experience, I don't have any reasons to suggest staying away from a 2005.
i am having trouble searching the threads thats why i asked the ??? if anyone could help i thank you
Yeah the search engine is real pitiful lately. Ask for door panels installation and you get 250 replies and most of them from today.
Corvettes from what I have seen are generally reliable, contrary to what some magazines say. The 05 did have a few issues that are more common then newer models but most have been fixed. If it really bothers you 06 models are not much more expensive.
I'd bet if you did a poll, you would probably find more satisfied '05 owners (me being one of them) than you would the newer years (no offense intended to those newer owners, they're all great cars). I'm basing this opinion on just what I read on this forum.
Whatever you end up with, I'm sure you will love it. There is no such thing as a bad Corvette! Good luck in your search.
