I have a friend who complains that the clear coat on his C6 scratches easier the his C5. In fact too easy. My AO does not and I am not aware of this problem with anyone else on thier C6. Is this a common problem?
Not a known issue. Darker colors however, tend to show swirls and fine scratches much more than lighter colors do. So if his C5 was white, bright yellow, red, etc,,, and now he drives a back, gray or dark red C6 then hes going to notice all the flaws much more easily. The Clearcoat is not any lower quality than before, if anything, its better. Also, repainted panels will scratch and chip more easily than factory paint, so maybe his car has had parts repainted ?

what he said...... and being "hard" is part of the problem, it does not "give" more so than a softer clear would...
always use a blank CD and rub it like you would your car surface with the towel(s) you plan on using... if it scratches the CD it will scratch your clear coat.
