My heads up display doesn't display anymore! I took my c6 to the dealer and they are telling me that it will be $1400.00 to fix. They said there is rust and that is what caused my display to short out. I guess my windshield leaked and water got in there. Is there any way I can fix this on my own? I never knew how much I liked that feature till it stopped working.
I tried adjusting it thinking I must have hit it by accident, still didn't show anything. I read in the manual that a fuse might need to be replaced. I'll get a second quote 4-sure on this one! Is the bulb easy to get to?
It is for situations like this that I purchased an extended warranty (or as one member so adamantly puts it - a service contract). That fix alone would have nearly paid for the warranty (contract).
What year is your car? Isn't there any warranty applicable here? Outside of a break or replacement, how could a winshield leak if not for a bad seal from the factory? Do you frequently drive underwater--that's for white Lotus Esprits only.
