Default Floor Jack

I am in need of some assistance. Does anyone out there know a good floor jack that has enough clearance and distance to jack up a C6? My 3 ton is just to big to fit under the car.

Thanks for your help!

You could get the Torin T830018D or the Omega 29023. I believe Sears also has a low profile floor jack, model 50165.

IMO, if you want the best, get the Omega. Here's what I have with the crossbeam adapter and jack stands. It's long enough that it will work on the front and the rear of the car with ease and clearance.

I have the same set up. The jack stands are great too.

I got the crossbeam from Northern Tool, but I got the jack from "Jack X Change" in Anaheim, CA for $220.

I just saw a low profile jack at Costco today for $94 that look both high capacity and high quality.

where;d you get those jack stands from and how much? mine are too curved at the top, they accept a notch from the rocker panel that most cars have, I would prefer the flattop setup like that one and use it with the cross beam adapter like you did, I have the omega jack, one word, AWESOME!

-- I agree with HuskerBullet - The Omega has a much longer reach. The one that I got at Autozone is very short. -- --

Default Thanks!

Thanks everyone for the posts. From what I read, others learned as well!

That is what is so great about this forum. I can save a lot of time by not having to go through trial and error to get the right set up!

The ones I have you see in the pic are Blackhawks, but Omega makes exactly the same ones, too.

I bought mine for Monstronix.com a couple of years ago but I don't know if they have it any longer. Look around online, they're really heavy so it's really important to find a good shipping deal.

Run it up on some boards, then your jack will fit under. Just kidding. But it will work if you are desperate.

I recently saw the Sears has a low profile jack for $59.99. I was thinking about my Corvette friends when I saw it. Here is a link.
