I had my windows tinted last week and the window tinting idiot while doing my back window was wearing a belt buckel and put some light scratches in the clear. The car is an 09 arctic white. What do you fine folks recommend to remove the scratches from this 900 mile car?!!!
Is the tinter paying for it? I would take the car to a professional, body shop, detailer, whatever and have it professionally buffed out and make the tinter pay for it. JMO.
Go to your local body supply and paint shop and ask for their 3M products. They make three progressively more aggressive polishing compounds.....I don't remember their names, but they come in quarts and are white (most aggressive) gray and blue (the final least aggressive liquid). Buy yourself a random orbital buffer and the three pads that come with each of the above........start with the middle compound to see if it takes them out, and if not move back up to the white one, and then back down through the 3 of them..........work with VERY bright light while you are doing this to make sure that you are finished with each step before going on to the next one.........good luck.........have you thought about taking your car to a professional and making the tint shop pay for it?

Thats why i wouldn't tint my windows as most people don't know how to care for your car when they work on it. Most tint jobs are trash anyway and they do more damage then good especially on back windows of vettes. Wouldn't tint mine if they gave me 500$ and threw the tint in for free. I got the factory tint anyway. Who needs a half done puck job that you can't undo the damage on.
take it to a good body shop. They should be able to buff the damage out with professional products and somebody who knows how to use them and has the right tools and knowledge. Anything less is taking a chance or wasting your time and money.

Just purchase yourself a Porter Cable 7424 with some light pads with your choice of light abrasive.
My brand new daily driver I recently purchased had a couple of slight scratches in the paint that our detailing department had some type of a problem getting out ( I don't think they tried ) and with 150 miles on the clock I started the Porter Cable up and removed the scratches.
It is fairly easy to do and is a good investment on your new car.
