Well I have a dead fly in my drivers headlight. I figure give it enough time, the fly or spider will eventually decompose. There is no way of getting the headlight open to get the pests out

Pull the bulb out, and put the shop vac hose up to the bulb hole opening and suck him out.

Too bad they couldn't have gotten together...maybe the spider could have grabbed the fly and gone somewhere else to eat it...

But seriously folks, couldn't the entire unit be removed and then a lighting unit (any of the three) removed from the housing from the back and then shake out the bugs? I realize the lense can't be removed and its a big job to take the entire unit out of the car, but can access be gained through one of the three lights from the back???

I think that just pulling a bulb will only give access to the back of the lense...not the cavity where the tarantula is living...

There's about an 1/4 to 1/2 inch gap between the bezel and housing. Suck or blow him to a part of the light where he cannot be seen.

You are right about the small gap, but to suck or blow him to a part where he can not be seen is easier said than done. My pet spider decided to situate himself in the very front of the drivers headlight corner closest to bumper badge. Not too conspicuous but I still see him.

Had a big O garden spider take up residence in my Z's passenger side mirror. I used a high pressure washer, and compressed air, trying to get her out, neither worked. She made a huge web, from the mirror, to the door handle, to about center midway down the door. I caught her hanging out one evening, and squished her. I say her, because the b***h apparently left an egg, with offspring, in the mirror....I had baby spiderlings by the dozens crawling out of that mirror...daily. Took about two weeks to get rid of them. I hate spiders, they freak me out. I refused to drive with the passenger window down, till I got her. Had she flew into the car, and onto my lap while driving, I'd have wrecked my Vette...
