Big waste of money.

Shift from 1st to 3rd when in slow traffic. The computer only knows not to allow you into 2nd on low rev's.
1st to 3rd on a Vette is like 1st to 2nd on a normal car.

Love it, worth every bit of $20. Lets me shift however I want and not get forced into skip shifting.

I had my dealer install it before I picked my vette up. Would do it again.

I dont really understand why you would need this, either give it more revs before you shift, or let it force you to shift into 4th, its obvious that you are not going any where fast if its making you do it.

I installed it just because I want to shift in the gear I want, when I want. I'm very satisfied.

I put one in, and it's great. 90% of the time it wouldn't matter if I had it or not - I usually hold 1st until higher revs anyway. But every now and then, usually when in traffic, I would get hit by CAGS, and it's IRRITATING.

Personally, I won't change my driving style to get around a "feature" that a $20 part can eliminate.

100%

What's $20 to eliminate a random annoyance...sensible.

I use it and Love it. I usually do shift from 1 to 4 but I like having the option to choose any gear I want. Make sure you look in the owners manual for the proper placement.

I just bought a Smart Fuse and blew it..Check it out..http://xse.com/leres/z06/cags.html
I actually have another one because they came in packs of two. If you want it I'll gladly send it to you for free. Just PM me your address and I'll send it out. Don't buy the EXACT same thing for $20 !! BTW I was skeptical at first but after about a month and many miles it works PERFECT..

Default Good for me

I installed it and am very happy with it. In traffic I usually do a 1 - 3 shift, which is not allowed without the stock eliminator (Z51 tranny). Each of us has his own driving style, so there is not 'pat' rule. Make yourself happy - the product works as advertised. Good luck,

Everyone has an opinion, but it sure was easier than the old way under the car from my previous C6's.....

out of the 94 TA, 97 Comp T/A, 97 Firehawk, 2005 GTO, all six speeds........ everyone left the dealer with the CAGS disconnect. That skip shift can get you into trouble in an intersection.
