Northern Minnesota, in the middle of summer, they are all armor coated and reproduce even after they are dead.

Oh please - you have to live in Texas 2 times a year with the stupid love bugs. Worthless, nuisance little creatures. They do a number on a car and you CANNOT get their guts off for anything.

Uh . . . Savannah "love bugs" and their gnat & mosquito cousins. However, Rejex and Skin So Soft do work, respectfully.

I knew Skin So Soft kept mosquitos off your skin but didn't know they'd help the car?????? Pam spray (before you go somewhere) will keep them from sticking but I don't know how good that is for the paint. I HATE 'love bugs'.

They are bad in south Mississippi too. I used to live there and still visit my mom there. I try not to go in September.

They are bad in June too. My dad lives in Louisiana - I avoid those two months at all costs for travel.

LOL Lisa. That's what the "respectfully" part was. Rejex for the car . . . Skin So Soft for me.

Hey - love your city - Savannah is a great place to vacation. I've been there 3 times. Enjoyed each trip. I will NOT be there in love bug season.

I assume love bugs are the same across the South, but I know for a fact that Florida love bugs have sulphuric acid in their veins.

aint this fun? alabama bugs are hiddeous as well. although not as big as texan bugs, a bit more intelligent than mississipian bugs, and probably not as cool as floridians, they are a royal pain in da bumper!

The bugs here in Eastern NC will shower your car in the evening. Ive even had bats fly in my car..... But I do tend to have more bugs on my car sitting in the yard.

typically if your car is coated with a polymer wax (Rejex, NXT2.0, Liquid glass) You will use little effort to remove the love bugs.

Ofcourse they should be removed as soon as possible to avoid etching the paint from the toxins they are making during all that love making.

Just my 2 cents.

I wipe my front end down with PAM before making the drive to Floridia. That streach on I-10 across the long bridge in LA. has the worst bug cloud at night I have ever seen.

Done that! Makes car smell like a salad. Bad idea. Try Bug Off From Griots garage.

South Dakota when the moths/butterflys are out. Can't even drive 30 miles with stopping and cleaning the mess off your windshield.
