Not only will it show POIs but it will give you distance and direction listed in order from closest to farthest. [URL="http://forums.corvetteforum.com/1569347979-post22.html"
Yes, it does. Page 7.
From other threads I know that you already know this but you can select from over 100 preset destinations while driving. You just have to have entered them before or while you were stopped. No, you can not type in new addresses while cruising down the highway. That has never bothered me. If I really want to change my mind on where I'm going and start from scratch entering an address, I'll pull off the road or at least wait until I stop at a light.
Also, it has no real traffic. I guess if we want to play semantics, yes, the word traffic shows up. But what most people want when we speak of traffic is to show spots where the traffic is right on the map, and to route around it. So getting text alerts (sporadically at best--I have yet to see this show up and I drive in NYC regularly--if ever it would show up it would be in NYC) and then figuring out where on the route that might be (if it's even relevant to your route), doing so yourself, and then you, yourself, having to route around that traffic--that extremely limited traffic information is available on the vette. Realistically, this is so far off what current GPSs offer by way of traffic integration as to just be plain sad.
With my Magellan I can just "Speak" the words.. "Distance to Destination" It will reply verbally.. 23 miles to your destination & you will arrive at 4:27PM
Or I can ask it for "Nearest Gas, Restaurant, Coffee, Motel, and it will TELL me...
If I were to buy a new Vette now I would NOT get the NAV I'd save the $1700 and add some mods that I would like and use more often...

I agree. I have '07 Nav 3LT too. While I use the Garmin in my C6, I would still get the Nav again-it looks good and use it as a touchscreen for radio and playing CD MP3's. It is not worth $1700 though.
