Default Flushing cooling system

When flushing the cooling system and refilling it, how do you bleed the air out of the system.

bleeding the air from the cooling system is real fun. the best way i have found, is using a vacumn pump from an air conditioning unit. make up a ball **** valve to hook to the pump and trap the vacumn. also pick up a tapered sink stopper that fits in the top of the coolant fill tank opening. drill a hole through it and install a 1/8 pipe nipple 2inches long. clamp all connections. after flushing system, pull a vacumn completely collapsing the hoses in the cooling system. won't hurt it, then close the ball **** valve. disconnect vacumn pump and put the hose in your dexcool. open valve, and the coolant will be drawn in. watch for bubbles telling you it is almost empty. close valve and put hose in another gallon. there are other ways to fill it, but this is exactly how the factory does it. and you don't have to get the engine hot and wait for it to purge the air out . hope this helps
