I am no way condoning any ones actions here, BUT Gene Cully sold me the 427 emblems that went on my 427 Z06, they are held on with a 3M type tape so they would be pretty easy to remove if the verbal abuse became to much.
I don't think that any of us here would have the issues with the "427" badges on a real ZO6 that we would with putting them on a regular C6. the "427" emblems are almost sacred in Corvette lore.
I can hear the laughter at the car show now....putting the "427" on a base C6 would be akin to putting a 5.0 badge on a V6 Mustang.....sorry, but true!...and we know what we think about those when we see them....and you know you have!
Back in the day my buddy did the opposite, he put 327 emblems on his car when in fact he had a monster 454 in it. Made for lots of fun down on Deer Park Ave.
Anyway, some form of "Z51" license plates are much better!
I agree 100% I put my Z-51 badges right above the GM chicklets, in my eye it looks very good a handling package has no business on the hood or front fender thats where the engine option or hp badges belong.
