If you look closely at the engine the only way the coil covers could go on was because the fuel rails were changed out. I think the spark plug wires are long and routed out the back then under the headers and up to the plugs.. Or as was said a total relocation which cannot be seen in the pictures or any plug wires

I agree! My guess is that they are under the 505hp covers. It is pretty expensive for a cosmetic upgrade but I do like the look. Warranty may be a concern since someone can always say the coil overheated or the extra long wires caused a problem.
I also think the GTO would have sold better if it was just left as a Monaro. Heck, dump Pontiac and just bring Holden to the US after switching everything to left-hand drive. Obviously the GTO wasn't a real big hit since it only sold for 3 years and the G8 probably won't be around many years either. It just shows lack of imagination on Pontiac's part.

friend of mine with a 2006 GTO (LS2) showed me this pic from the goat forum. my sentiment is pretty much: "why didn't we think of that?"
the coil cover is beautiful. i love the popular katech valve covers with insert more than i like the valve covers in this pic... but the coil covers are genius
CClive you are right, now that I am looking at the picture at the bottom of the picture looks like the coil packs are connected to the shock tower or inner fender.
Eddy maybe by posting this some vendor may get some ideas and maybe make something more affordable.
Could they be in the valve covers. Notice the hole/grommet on the right bank's cover. Valve covers look a little tall for a pushrod motor and the coil packs are pretty flat.

That's the engine computer on the shock tower. The coils are actually inside the rocker cover and the plug wires exit the bottom. If you look close you can see the plug boots.
You are right you can see the red plug boots, so I would say that my first guess is right that the plug wires are routed out the back and under the headers.
I drove one home from the showroom back in 1965. Owning that car meant plenty of entitlements for a sixteen year old kid from the Bronx, including dates with some of the hottest chicks in the neighborhood. And there were no 442s that I couldn't handle; the main trick was getting the heads done, which really woke the car up.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
