I'm plan to buy a Corvette this spring or summer. I like to buy my cars as low mileage used cars. I'm trying to get an idea on how much I would save by buying a used one. I'm thinking 2008 2LT manual w/ Z51. I would appreciate any input.
Depends on your market, where you buy it from, options, etc. I would check new with the forum dealers first. You might be surprised. It also gives you the option of picking it up at BG.

Good time to wheel and deal. Check forum vendors and your local dealers.
Used can save you some $$$ but there are some great deals and financing rates available now.
You don't indicate your location - -but prices seem to vary by location around the country....if you put your city in your profile - -other forum members can let you know about deals they know in your area - - and you may be able to buy new for what you thought you'd spend for a low mileage car!
Either way you go this is a great time to buy. Watch the C-6's for sale section of the Forum for some outstanding deals on both new and used Corvettes.
I think now is a great time for an 08. I got mine for $42k, Sticker almost $51k. 0% interest for 60 months. Payments around $560 with $7500 in trade. Seemed like a great deal to me. Even better, my insurance only went up $5.00 a month compared to my 2003 Eclipse Spyder Convertible. Why'd I wait so long? Doh!
I went through the Chevrolet web site and started looking at the biggest cities around and asked for quotes. Most of the dealers were ready to sell. You can also find deals on autotrader. Just search for new 2008's. The dealer I bought from had an incredible deal on a convertible, but mine was not on sale on autotrader. However, all I had to do was ask.
