Default Mud Guards...Z06 Type

I was wondering how difficult is it to install the Z06 guards on the
C6 ?

I heard you have to 1st, cut off the tabs then do some grinding shaping and twisting to make it fit, but don't know where.

Is there anyone out there that can give me some advise on how to do this so I wont mss things up ?

I'd like to use the Z06 on the rear's and the one's from GM parts for the front. I think that will give a good uniformed look. (IMO )

Thank's in advance.

It's not hard to install the Z06 guards on the rear. Send me a PM I have a set that I took off that are already modified. Also if you use the GM in the front I think you have to buy all 4 anyway.

I have done a couple of sets. You have to cut the inside webbing or tabs to reshape the guards. The C-6 fender profile is just a little different from the ZO-6. Once the webbing is cut out I use a heat gun to slightly reshape the contour for a good fit. One trick is to use VHB (very high bond) double sided tape to secure them to the fender. The tape that comes with them is not strong enough to hold them. There should be several post here on the forum, just use the search function. It is not hard to do it just take a little time to get the proper fit. You might what to consider using the 2009 splash guards which are basically a plug and play item. I think the ZO-6 guards are just a little big on the rear for a C-6 with OEM wheel and tire sizes.

GM makes them for the non Z06. I have seen them and they look great. See the thread above, they will also have the directions. You drill 4 holes each for the backs and just remove the front plugs to install them in the front.

Get the APSISUSA ones for sure. A little pricey but GREAT. Your choice long or short.
