Default 2 post VS 4 post???

Trying to decide on a lift. Like the 2 post for its easyness to take tires off and work all under the car (its what i am use to all the years as a tech) but watched a video from "backyard buddy" lifts and the quality they have is awesome.
Also pulling a car on is easy and i dont have storage issue but it would make having another vette (really cant get the C5 out of my head) an easy sell. thxs for the input and any experience anyone has with either would be greta, paul

I have the Backyard Buddy 4 post lift and I really like it. Very beefy and it feels secure. I got a hydraulic scissors jack that fits between the runways that makes it easy to lift the car. Not as convenient as a 2 post lift, but it works.

I have a two post Mohawk System I and love it. I was able to go with the 2 post since I don't need the storage.

I would definately go with a 4 post over the 2 post. You can do a lot more with a 4 post than you can with a 2 post. And get it with the jacking trays and you have the same ability to get the car up in the air easily for suspension and brake mods and removing and installing wheels. My dad has the 4 post at his house and I am up there more than I am at my house now. I love that thing. It even makes detailing the car easier lol

If you have the room, get the two post. I would only get the 4 post if you are interested in parking on it. The market is extremely hot right now for quality 2 posts as well. I've seen 1 month old 2 post Rotary lifts for <$2500 installed in the houston area.

I picked the Backyard Buddy 4 post lift for both storage and service.

2 post if you don't need extra storage and/or you do a lot of wheels-off/under-car service.
4 post if you need storage and/or don't have the room for a 2 post

I have a BendPak HD-9 4 post. Compare specs - best lift for the $ IMO.

I also have a BendPak MD-6XP scissor. Mid-rise scissor lifts are great if you don't need to do much 'under-car' work and would use a lift mostly for detailing/oil changes/wheels-off. Obviously of no help increasing storage

G/L with your decision.
