Put on a set of Firestone RFT Wide Ovals a few thousand miles ago. I don't push very hard, but the tires show almost no wear and are much quieter that the Goodyears. Have also done some rain driving...no issues. The price difference between these and the GYs is a bunch. Unlike some forum members, I got lucky. I made only one phone call and had all four on the car in less than an hour. Anyway, I recommend.

The Firestones are a good choice for those wanting to stay with a run-flat tire.

Good to hear. The set I ordered just came in. I wanted to stay with the runflat since mine is a daily driver and my hours include very early and very late.

Put them on 3 weeks ago and love them. As I mentioned in another post, I don`t really know if they are quieter than the GY`s because I can`t remember what the GY`s were like when new anymore. As for wear I hope they wear better but the best thing is the price difference. If you plan on keeping runflats then I would recommend
the firestones.Yesterday I also had my car aligned, good idea if you get new tires and haven`t had it done in awhile.

What about performance handling? Do they handle as well as the GY's in the curves?

I started using Firehawks on my '86 and was so happy with them that I've used them on all my vettes (4) ever since. I can't recommend them highly enough. Quiet, sticky, great wear & look good too.

In South Jersey, Firestone is running TV commericals with a C6.

Is GM putting FS on the 09 C6? I heard talk this was going to happen, but did not hear for certain.

Got about 9000 miles on mine. They show little wear. Ride is quiet and soft compared to Goodyear.

I will most likely go with Firestones when my OEM tires wear out. The other tire on my list would be the PS2 ZP. My only worry is that when these tires get older will they also howl like the goodyears or worse. Anyone have decent mileage on the firestones?
