Default 06 Vert Wind Screen

Has anyone used a wind screen on the vert. I have seen several different types and my wife thinks we need one. I think I saw one that needs to be stroed in the trunk and one that stays on when the top is up.

Are they just a waste of money I could be spending elsewhere...

Thanks

Well, it depends on how you/ she feel about having your hair blowing in the wind, and being able to talk to eachother/ listen to music with the top down? Most high end convertibles come with something like this either built in or removable... But of course the General didn't bother so you have to buy it after the fact. I've found the only way to keep a baseball cap from being blown off my head while I drive with the top down is to put in my Vet Net. Trust me, driving for a long time @ highway speeds w/o one will lead to head aches later on. If you're only driving around town(with local traffic) you can probably just leave it in the trunk. I don't know of one that stays in all the time... Unless it were built into the folding lid? If there is such a part, I'd like to see it. I could use the extra trunk space.

I have a Vette Net and am very happy with it... From a previous post...

It goes into a couple of brackets that go inside/ under the top cover...

You put these in when putting the net on, remove them after removing the net... and before raising the top.

I got the one that GM offers and it works fairly well. One of the nice things about it is that you can't inadvertantly put the top up and break the wind screen, the top will not go up with the screen in place.
