Front console removal/replacement

Can anyone help me out with a link to a thread with front(radio-shifter) console removal/installation?

Also, the only replacements I've found are the 1k carbon fiber kits...any help-appreciated.

I have a DIY for the radio surround on my website for the 2005-2007 console removal. The 2008-2009 is similar with the exception that the two bolts that hold the base of the surround are under two plugs in the front of the center console and not covered by the tombstone plate from the earlier years. The rest will be the same. You can find it on the Tech Tips page of my website:
