C6 brake fluid question...
Is it cool to pull most of the fluid out with a syringe, the same way as clutch fluid? ...and avoid the whole bleeding switch out procedure.
And, is it cool to mix the Super DOT 4 brake and clutch fluid with the DOT 3 that's in the car; if not how about a recommendation for an easy to find local auto parts store brake fluid.
As a note, my brakes work just fine. Just detailed my engine and the fluid just doesn't match!!!

Thanks in advance Oh Great Wise Men of the MacForum Clan.
However, with the clutch you can suck out all the fluid and clean the master cylinder with a lint-free cloth or paper towel.
With the brake master cylinder, don't remove quite all the old fluid - you don't want to get air in the brake lines and you'll be more likely to do that if you empty the brake master cylinder completely.
Take a look at this thread - I think it will answer all your questions about fluids:

No matter how you remove the fluid, You should bleed the brakes in case you get any air into the system.
Also, you can not get all the old fluid out without using a Tech2. You need to activate the ABS system in order to remove all the fluid and need the Tech2 to do that.
Whatever you do, do not use Dot 5. You can use Dot 5.1, but again, unless you flush the entire system, it would be a waste.
