I have an aluminum Low Profile Racing floor jack that I picked up at Habor Freight years ago. I like it and it works very well.

It kind of depends on whether you are willing to go through some inconvenience or not. It you are willing to drive the car up on something to get a little initial lift, then any of the less expensive aluminum racing jacks will work fine. Examples would be the Torin available at Costco or Northern Tool and elsewhere and the Sears Craftsman in 1 1/2 and 2 ton sizes. If you don't want to do that then you need a really low profile, long reach jack like the Omega 29023 also available at Northern Tool. Here are a couple of prior discussions to help:

If you choose to use the Omega, be advised it is REALLY big and REALLY heavy. It isn't something you sling around the garage like the smaller aluminum racing jacks. Good luck, have fun.

I'm interested in a big, heavy, long and low profile jack. Is Omega the best or are there other choices? I see the Omega is roughly $250, I would like to stay in the same ball park.

I have the Omega and it is one of the lower jacks (2.5-inch saddle). However, the quality of construction is not the best (although it is heavy and strong). And, the pump piston/return spring design is poor.

I also have the Ranger RFJ2TX. The Ranger Model RFJ2TX (a division of Bend-Pak Inc) has a low saddle height (3.5-inch) and long reach, but it has better construction and is more expensive. The lifting arm is also thicker than the Omega. No problem at the rear, but you need to drive the front tires on 2x12s for the jack to go under the front.

Thanks! The Ranger RFJ2TS looks like a good choice for decent quality at an OK price.

I see there is a lower profile Ranger, the RFJ-3000LPF. It's has 1000 lbs less capacity but lower profile and $50 less expensive.

Does anyone have experience with this one?

Hey, did you guys notice that Ranger is showing a cross beam adapter? It says to call, don't know what that means, but since Northern Tool doesn't have them any more and Summit is now showing them "N/A" this might be the place to send folks who want one. Just sayin'.

Well, I just ordered the Ranger RFJ-3000LPF and cross beam.
I will let everyone know how they work on a new C6 via this post - once they arrive.

Me too, I got it on sale for $99.00.

I place a 4 X 4 on it and then place the jack stands on the 4 X 4.

We it has been 6 years. Have you used the Ranger jack and can you tell us if it reaches the center sub-frame, front and rear?

TIA
