Default Leftover 2007 Pace Car

My friend just bought a left over 2007 pace car brand new, no miles.
He paid $46k for it. A good deal. So i go online and find the same exact car but the dealer is asking $56k. WTF the car is almost 3 years old. Oh well, I guess is was not meant to be.

If you check with Kelly Blue Book, I'll bet that a 2007 Pace Car, with low miles does not book for 47K.......Even 47K is pretty high for a 2007 -- Pace or not....56K is INSANE! I am happy that your friend is happy with his, but in this market 2007's are going for low 30's -- with low miles....

Good for him. If he is happy, that is all that matters. Was that $46,000 out the door, or before tax and licence.

To each his own, but I would rather have a brand new '09 at $47K.

I would agree, if you can get an 09 convertible 3lt for $47k.

All 07 pace cars were loaded 3LT verts. To get one new even if it is an 07 for 46K sounds good to me. Warranty starts when it is bought . 56K is crazy though. If I recall correctly, the MSRP was something like mid 60s.

BTW, can you get 0% APR on the 07 like the 08? It doesn't hurt to ask.

Any dealer willing to hold on to an 07 when the 10 will be coming out soon enough is probably not the best to negotiate with. Good luck.

46k for a brand new Vette with warranty in 3lt trim is a fair deal, not a great one even a pace car

Warranty starts when it is bought but deprecation started way before that time.

Agreed. I guess I'm saying it's worth more than a used 07 with very low miles. If you keep the car for several years, the depreciation will be more mitigated. If you sell it in the next year or two, you'll feel it for sure.

Here in the Northeast there are dealers sitting on top of new 07s.I guess that they think a slow quarter is better then a fast nickle!

Let me guess, he bought it from a dealer in VA and the car base color is orange.

All 07 Pace Cars had MSRP's of over 68K. Getting 22K off is quite a good deal and factors in the depreciation appropriately. I think you friend made a purchase he will get a lot of enjoyment out of.

Put the top down and let the good times roll.

A loaded Vert with no miles for that price is a good deal.
