Sometimes its just luck. My VIN is only 600 after yours, I drive it every day (41000 miles so far), and all I've had has been:
- 2 bad horn buttons
- 1 bad radio dial
- 2 broken gas caps
- driver side interior door panel adjusted a couple of times to prevent chattering

That's it. I did have the roof filled with foam, but haven't had any issues with it before or after. Maybe I'm just nicer to mine!

Thanks for all your advise guys. I think I'll do what several have said and look for a newer model in the same price range. But then again, there's still hope on the one I have to remove the plastic from the seats on!

Major differences from 05 to 08/09, new models have LS3 engine with 430hp compared to 05 LS2 400hp and the 08/09 has improved steering and other small changes

28,000 original owner F-55 with A-4 trans. No major problems and no leaks. Did have factory radio replaced by dealer because it picked up too much static and could not hold a radio station. Had gas cap replaced under warranty. No leaks
