I need to remove the gas pedal any clues on which is the best way to remove it ? It looks like the bolt is pressed into the plastic or is there a clip on it?

Ed has a good DIY instructions on his website at www.nakidparts.com.

I used the socket & C-clamp method and it worked well. It is MUCH easier if you place a small mirror on the floorboard behind the gas pedal so that you can actually see what you're trying to do - it alsol helps if you're a contortionist - not much room down there!

Good Luck!

I would recommend that you remove the entire pedal assembly and simply work with it out on a bench. There are two bolts that hold it to the firewall and the matter of the electrical connector up under the knee panel. You will find this a lot easier than the contortion that you will need to do to work with it while still in the car.

Very good idea. Wish I had thought of that.

This is what I did when I installed my new pedal from Elite Engineering. Taking out the entire assembly is so simple and you can be sure the new pedal will be installed correctly when you have the assembly up on the bench and can actually see what you are doing.

The pin in the stock pedal is a slight press fit on one end. Put a socket over the head of the pin and smack the other end with a hammer and it will pop right out (or squeeze with a pair of pliers)
