Window Tint

For those who have had their windows tinted: Is it worth it and does the tint make the rear window look bad? I live in Maryland and it gets pretty hot here in summer. Thanks!

Here in Texas, its pretty much a must. The only issue is the paint bumps at the front of the rear window. There are various opinions on how to apply tint over the bumps. Talk to your tinter.

I had mine tinted. It looks great and they match the rear window perfect. I get tons of compliments on them. The tint shop I took it to also tinted the entire window with out leaving that little gap at the top so when they roll down there is no clear glass.

got the windows tinted a few weeks ago with the new ceramic tint. that stuff rocks! as far as the bumps on the back window, my tinter just covered it with a piece of black vinyl. the side windows are also tinted and the overall look is kick a$$!

Did they just put the black vinyl on the inside of the window and then cut the tint off just before it?

Have any more detailed pics of the vinyl strip?

That is what my tint shop did. It's not visible from the rear view mirror. It looks very clean.

Cool, thanks. It looks like they cut the vinyl to match the shape of where the dots are rather than just using a strip all the way across the window.
