If you just got it, go back to the dealer and try another disk. If it still doesn't work, have them pull the power from it, restore the power feed and let it reboot. See if it works then. If not, the NAV died and will need a new one.

I didn't buy it from a dealer so I guess I'll try to pull the radio fuse and see if it will reset.
you dont i had to take my to the stealership maybe your nav disc is scratched or something but they had to replace my whole head unit lucky the warranty covered it good luck
Make sure your NAV disc is clean and scratch free. Then clean the optics of the disc reader (use one of the wet cleaning kits you can get at a computer store). If the disc appears undamaged, and cleaning doesn't help, then you can take it to the dealer and pay several hundred dollars for an exchange (dealers don't do electronics repair), or take it to an independent auto radio shop and let them do component level (10 cent part) repair. If it were mine, I'd opt for component level repair.
I don't know what the deal was but after I ejected the disc and reinstalled it several times it started working again. I did notice it is a burned disc.

Sometimes the discs get a film on them, a cleaning with windex and a microfiber towel might help.

i had this problem for a while... now the problem is that I try to put the dvd in and it doesnt even pull the disc in...
this is bad...
HOW DO I RESET THIS DARN UNIT??
I know if there is some way besides cutting the power and pulling the 15 amp fuse... don e them both...
What I am trying to do is essentially cut the power COMPLETELY so that even my radio stations get wiped out...
any ideas???
My Vette is doing the same thing! The head unit will not accept the DVD Nav disc. I'm out of warranty so would really appreciate some insight from someone who has resolved this issue.
In addition, I pulled the head unit and found a small opening on the side which accepts a small screw driver. The plastic **** inside turns in either direction and appears to be a setting or an adjustment for something. Does anyone know what this is for??

Thanks...
Agmaustin,
Did you find the purpose of the adjustment ****? I am having similar issues with my DVD NAV unit. I am wondering if the adjustment is for tightening the DVD head. I suspect that my DVD head is slightly loose and is scratching my DVDs.
