Default Clutch

After suffering for some time now with a lot of chatter from the rear end of my C6 (8,500 miles) I just got it back from the dealer after a 3 day stint where they replaced the clutch packs and did it under warranty as well. The thing sounds like it is brand new again.

The service guy was trying to tell me the chatter and wear comes from letting them sit over the winter here in the NE. Not sure I am buying that particular line however.

Any thoughts on this?

All I can tell you is that my '05 is stored in my garage every winter. This was the 4th winter and I have had no such problem. May be he knows something or maybe he's fos! Someone with more tech knowledge than I may post.

There's a TSB on this chatter. All that needs to be done is to change out the lube and it's fixed.

I can vouch as I had it done and BINGO, fixed as advertised.

Just had the diff lube changed under the the TSB and it worked wonders on the diff performance. Car used to buck at low speeds and now rolls along very smoothly.

So do all the 2009s come with the Dexron LS Gear Oil 75W-90 installed in the original factory fill?
