When you say no more zig-zag opening for the fuel line and an easier install, does that mean no more fuel line disconnect to install these? In other words, will they just slide right past the fuel line and right into place?
I see a purplish hue coming out in the photos which may be just the lighting or something. Are these bascially black/silver in color?

thanks

You are correct, no disconnecting of the fuel line.
Slips straight on.
The old stock way with the "zig zag" could also be put on without disconnecting the line BUT it was a pain and if you had painted, or carbon FRC’s you could scratch them or crack the clear from bending and twisting them to get the line through.

I made it straight to eliminate that plus...well I just thought it looked better..

Yes it’s the lighting. They are black, grey, silver carbon with a 2x2 twill.

Thanks for checking the out!

Take it ease.

Thanks for the info Ed! I think that you are gonna get an order very soon.

I hate the zig-zag opening and have hesitated buying painted covers just because of having to remove the fuel line to install them or take the chance of scratching them trying to work them on without removing the fuel line. Not sure why Chevy designed it that way. You'd think the covers would be an easily removed piece.
Any chance you might have some pictures yet of them installed on a motor?

The whole idea of Carbon Fiber is to reduce weight. I never did understand those who bought CF overlays to glue on top of OE parts. For some just the look of CF was good enough. Seems kinda silly to me. These parts are a different story. Reduces weight(marginally I know) and looks good also.

Strong & Light is why Carbon Fiber is used. The look is...well just a bonus.
These are made from a mold. Vac bagged then auto clave cured. Super light! Stock weigh 5 times more then these. Nothing earth shattering, but a couple of pounds. Definitely a step in the right direction if your looking to put the car on a diet

*I noticed your in LI NY too. We are having an Open house 5/24
Come on down! We will have these and other carbon products you can actually see/hold in person
(just bring the vette!)

Check it out! http://www.tkoperformance.com/openhouse_2.html

Thanks guys! Take it ease!

I see that you now have a picture up of the cf covers installed. You are making this a tough decision as your fiberglass "smoothies" sure look good also.
