Default Memory - Key Fob Question

Greetings everyone - another newbe question...

I have the 1-2 Memory option and have it programmed Ok, but it only works when I press the number key on the door. The exit position works when I open the door but I thought the numbered key fob would cause it to happen automatically when I opened the door.

The key fob opens everything and starts the car but doesn't seem to impact the memory positions. Do I have an issue or does it not work the way I expected?

Thanks for your help!

Your profile in unclear on your equippment. This normal for a manual transmission.

With a manual transmission the memory seat and steering wheel recall feature is inoperative by key fob when entering the vehicle. However, when the driver1 or driver2 button is pressed on the driver's door, the seat and steering wheel will recall normally.

The only seat and steering wheel recall that the Corvette (only equipped with a manual transmission) offers by key fob is referred to as "Auto Exit Recall". This feature allows memory seats and telescoping steering wheel to be programmed to an exit position for each driver. For this feature to work, the park brake must be applied and the feature must be turned on in the DIC for the desired driver requesting the feature.

ELCO Chevrolet can provide more details. Refer to #PIC3966A.

As indicated, if you have the manual transmission, you've got to push the door button to move the seat to your driving position.

Even the automatic tranny cars don't move the seat when you open the door. They move the seat when you start the engine.

BTW, moving the seat to the driving position when you open the door makes no sense anyway. The whole reason you have a seat exit position is to make it easier for you to get out of the seat. Why would you want that easy to enter position moved before you sit down?
