Default Tune Numbers with Headers

Hello All,

These numbers seen low to me, stock it came in 325hp to the wheels with 295 torque, new numbers 365RWHP and 350 torque. I have seen people with a lot hire numbers post on here. Talking with my install friend he said it all depends what kind of dyno your using. I have a 08 manual with Z51 and NPP exhaust. Can anyone shed some light on this topic. I thought for sure I would be over 400 to the wheels.
The type of dyno he has is called a Mustang lol maybe thats why.

I agree with your friend, and it's not only the dyno but the conditions that day also.
The important thing is (if these came from the same dyno) you are +40hp and +55tq
at the wheels - those are some pretty good gains.

Those are good gains but I had a 01 with the same mods not a Z06 and it came in at around 350hp to the wheels. And it only had 350 hp to the crank and my new vette has 436 hp to the crank and it came in at 365 to the wheels? Just seems low, ya but I did gain 40HP

I think Mustang is the most common dyno. Your initial numbers are low. Stock LS3 manual trans cars have regularly dyno'd 380-398 at the wheels. It may be the dyno, it may be the environmental conditions or a combination, plus more.

Your improvement with the header seems very good to me. Hopefully others with more knowledge will chime in.

Yes that is what I heard to stock at about 385-400 so 325 stock seemed very low to me

If you are in a hurry you might find more knowledgeable folks hanging out over in the C6 Tech/Performance Forum tonight. Just a thought.
