I've got the QX1 wheels (comp gray split spokes) on my '08 JSB. Personally, I don't care for chrome wheels on JSB. Normally I am a big chrome fan too, as I have a set if iForged Aeros on my Firehawk.
I have a set of power coated gloss black CCW SP500's (18x9.5F and 19x11R) coming soon that will have a JSB stripe along the inside of the lip. I will be running 265/30/18 F and 305/30/19 R PS2's (non-RF). I had the choice of powder coating them hyper-black, but it looked too much like gray to me in most lighting situations, which I didn't really want.
Chrome='s Guido,
gold chains,
waxer-not driver,
I bought a corvette for you to look at me as I drive 3mph in the slow lanes
I hope that it doesn't rain that would ruin the car show
Hey,Miss hog queen can I put a towel under your dress as your sitting on the trunk for the parade
Comp grey = who has the best deal on race rubber?
timing chains
I waxed your but in turn 9
sorry officer I didn't see that I was doing 103 in that corner.
I hope that it rains during the drivers training day, I need that skill.
Hey Miss umbrella girl, can you reach the 5 point harness for me? it's kinda hard to get to with the HANS on.
Comp Grey wheels look nice on some colors and not so good on others in my opinion. I just like the chrome look on darker color cars.
Polished wheels fall into the chrome category too. However there are exceptions, like Black wheels on a Black car with the red pinstripe. wheels are such a personal choice, but I will stay with the chromies for this poll.
I had a black c5 with chrome and so to me some of the chrome wheels look dated (not the Gumbys or Spiders), but the standard chromes look 10 years old. JMO.
When the Gumbys first came out, I thought they were ugly too. But since chrome was out of the question and in 09 the standard wheel was only in chrome and was like a $1900 option I went with the polished Gumbys. It wasn't long when I realized that I really liked the "open" look of the Gumbys better. They show off the Z51 brakes better and was forged strong and was light. It's a better wheel.
Tough one. Bunch of good looking wheels on vettes. Originally I was all pro chrome, but started looking over done. Then, Comp Grey was the thing. But sometimes they can come off as just dirty (a few have said it hides the bd well ). It really depends on the color. Mine's VY and I've started liking a guys VY vert with these powdercoated 19/20 combo black/chrome (really dark grey) wheels. Forgot who he said was the mfg.

I voted chrome. I think it gives more of a pop for any color.
I currently have polished on my DSOM. They look great when they are all cleaned up. But I have seen some that look real milky. I am in the process of looking to buy some chrome 5 spoke wheels to replace my polished 5 spokes.
