This weekend after a couple hundred mile cruise in dry and wet conditions I made it home and parked the car. When my wife got out and closed the passenger door the window began cycling up and down in traveling roughly an inch each time. Up, down, up, down. I cycled the door lock a couple of times and open and shut the door and it stopped. I figured it was a fluke and let it be. Yesterday I went to start the car and the battery was dead. Apparently it continued to cycle up and down in the garage with nobody around to see it until the battery died. Hooked up the trickle charger and this morning went to check on the car. The windows were both partially down so I went to close them. Neither one would go up. Ahh, need to re-index them no problem. Did that and they worked just fine.
Here is the new problem. Tried to open the passenger door from the outside and the led would flash twice and i could hear something but the door wouldn't open. Tried it from the inside and it opened right up. Closed and tried again from the inside and it wouldn't open. LED flashes and I can here a noise but the door will not release. I cycle the accessory mode on a off and keep playing with the door lock. Nothing. Went around the car and tried from the outside and it opened right up. Closed it and tried again and nothing. Each time I try and open the door the LED flashed twice but the door will not pop open. The manual release works but the electric one is erratic not working more than it is working.
Any idea? Is it just a low battery problem or BCM issue? Fluke? Anyone experience this same thing and know what the problem and fix was?

One possibility . . . you may have a defective Exterior Door Handle Switch.
You can test it by replacing it with the switch from the driver door - very easy to remove (2 phillips screws).
If it works properly, you simply replace the switch.

If you do this, let me know - I've had similar problems and reindexing did not work. I'm still under warranty and don't want to replace something myself but not real wild about going to the dealer either..
Since the battery was drained, I'd definitely either charge it fully back up or replace it before doing anything else.
Battery will be fully charged by the time I get home today.

As soon as I get home tonight I will be trying this as a means of troubleshooting. Thank you for the suggestion. Hopefully it is this simple.

I hear you on the dealer. The idea of handing over a car that costs this much to any of my local dealers scares the **** out of me. Once i try the door lock swap I will reply back here to let you know what happened.
FACADE-C6 huge thanks to ya man. I tried swapping the switches like you suggested and sure enough the problem went from the passenger side door to the driver door. Can't tell you how happy I am to have the fix be so simple and cheap. I'm still going to call a local dealer and try to convince them to give me a new switch free of charge since it should be a warranty item but worst case it's only going to cost me pennies. Huge thanks man!!
Here's a copy of the TSB on the door switch problem...can't believe that I beat Facade in posting the actual text
