The wave is fine for when I'm driving... at least I give my honest opinion. You rather know or not know? If you dont wanna know, don't ask.

Of course, I could sugar coat it and lie through my teeth:
DAMN that hood looks SWEET - great job man!

I don't mind pro's and con's, that's why I asked. It does amaze me that so many Corvette owners on this forum seem to deride other Corvette owners more than any other forum I have ever been on.

And like a few have said....I like it.......so thats all that matters.

You know how you watch other people look at your Corvette when your driving it? Well, I get a ton more looks with the ground effects and hood than before and Corvette Fever Magazine shot a feature on it, which will be in the C6 Issue coming out in a couple of months, so they must have liked it to.

It is a popular hood, and all that matters is that you like it. Who cares what we think?

ahhh don't hate just because you're still driving around in
a 2001 z06.

Get up to his level first and then talk smack about his hood.

Hahahaha... seriously?

My 2001 Z06 that I've made into a targa on my own... no shop buddy...

.

Some pics of the work that went into her... The first cut!

Roof out... here you can also see the layer of eDead (eventually covered by ensolite foam too.)

Coupe roof halo trimmed, bonded in, and body work done

Car fully taken apart for paint

Oh... here's my Panoz race car...

Care to continue talking ****? Please explain how not owning a C6 coupe... a car that can be had for $25k makes me unqualified to comment on the barn roof hood?

At the end of the day it's his car, if he likes it then who the heck cares what a guy on a web forum thinks. I love these cars and I just don't see how this hood fits with the design cues of the cars at all.

I browse and post in this forum because I've decided to buy a red/tan C6 vert as my next daily driver

B. Cobra, what the hell are you doing haning out in the C6 forums. You gunna upgrade? Just curious. I haven't seen you in here until recently. Oh, and do you think you could post some more pictures? I'm not quite sure you've redeemed yourself!

I think the hood looks good, but it will need the wide body kit to go along with it to complete the look. The hood alone raises the car and makes it look skinnier.

Get a rear wide body and the entire look will complete itself . IMHO

Good show and I luv my hood! It is made by Starcraft and is also used by Lingenfelter. Great hood and it is functional too! What do you think?
Looks terrific! No widebody needed. I love mine

I like the side profile more than the front. But either way it looks pretty.

I've always found it interesting when Forum members make a modification and ask for an opinion from the other Forum members...many of whom "trash" the mod. It's like asking "Does this dress make me look fat???"
Everyone has an opinion....If you like it, then that's what counts.
