noticed that my headlights seem a little low and was wondering if they can be adjusted and if so, how? anyone know?
The headlights can be adjusted up and down. There is a allen screw inside the engine compartment just behind the headlight area on each sidewall (you'll see the hole in the liner just behind the headlight). Just give it a couple of turns and you will see the headlight start to come up. As I recall the drivers side headlight is counter-clockwise to raise, clockwise to lower.
What is the standard height adjustment? Just to your likings?
The aiming procedure as outlined in the service manual is a little complicated as far as illustrations for a post here but with the car facing a white screen that it is 5 ft. high by 12 ft wide. Align the car so that it is perpendicular to the screen and 25 ft. back.
You are supposed to turn on the lights and block one lamp from shining on the screen as best you can so that you can focus on the lamp you are adjusting. When one side is complete, block the other side and repeat the procedure.
The top edge of the light cone projecting from the bulb should be between 2" above the horizontal centerline to 2.5" below the horizontal centerline of the headlamp. As viewed from direct front the horizontal centerline is about a third of the way down the lamp from the top but that is just the lens. You will see what I'm talking about when you view the lamp and lens from head on.
Yeah, the official procedure make a Space Shuttle launch look simple.
My car was repaired after an accident and I'm not sure what system they used to aim but it seems about right. Occasionally I get a flash from an oncoming car but that happened before, too.
My plan is get a couple of buddies with fairly new and undamaged C6's, park mine in a row with them on a good flat surface at night, and just eyeball the headlights from out in front. Adjust mine if necessary so it looks same as theirs to oncoming traffic.
If someone has a better plan, I'm all ears (and eyes).

thanks Paul. I noticed last night that I had my high beams on and still didn't get anyone flashing at me. I think I'll check them this weekend and adjust as needed. the procedure is pretty similar to others I have work on so should be able to do same. appreciate the information!
My low beams are perfect, had to adjust them down a bit, but my hi beams are shining in the trees! I don't think they are adjusted without moving the whole assembly, right? Anyone else have hi beams "in the trees"? BTW, it happened when I replaced the hi beam bulbs. Are there any chances of getting the bulb housing in upside down or some bulbs being up biased?

It sounds to me as if either the bulb may not have seated or the connector didn't seat quite right. I'd pull it out and try it again. There is no adjustment for the height of the high beam other than the housing.
