I've got the LockPick iPod adapter. It works pretty good. It interfaces in between the radio and the XM satellite module. You select it using the Audio XM2 input. You can change playlists and move forward and backward in your playlist all from the radio controls. It will also show the name of the song and artist when the song starts to play. I leave it in my center console and never need to touch the iPod. It also keeps the iPod charged. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't stay selected by the radio. That means that every time I turn on the car, I need to reselect it in the Audio screen. If it wasn't for that, it would be pretty close to perfect.
I heard there were alot of issues with the ipod interface kits. If I see alot of changes, I may have to upgrade. I got to check out the NAV head units, and like them more than the one I have.

I have the same setup.
I am thinking about diving into the lockpick 360 instead. the good is you get backup camera capabilities ( camera sold seperately $130.00) plus movies/video on the Nav screen from the ipod or an external DVD player, it will also remove the " I agree" screen I believe as well as control brightness of the screen . The bad is the audio and video controls will be at the ipod iteself rather than the head unit.
I've read there was a change in the '09 HU's due to the Bluetooth integration but I'm not versed in the details. Anyway, just make sure what you choose is actually tested to work with the '09's. Here is an outstanding review of the 5 most popular setups, recently posted by member Ray Kawal. Makes for good reading. Enjoy and good luck.

I've got an '09, so I know that the LockPick works with it. I don't agree with the conclusions of this review that rules out the LockPick. If you set the iPod to Shuffle mode, it will randomly play back songs in your playlist. This review also seems to say that the song playback always starts from the beginning of the playlist. If you have shuffle mode on, that's not true. It should also be noted that when you shut the car off, turn off the audio system, or listen to the radio, when you come back to the iPod, it will start playing where it left off. I haven't tried audio books with it.
