Default C6 traction control keeps going active

Test drove C-6 vert today with 23k miles that I am thinking about buying. It has Vellano VSH wheels on it. The front wheels are 20 inches x 9 1/2 width with 255/30/20 tires, and the rear wheels are 20 inches x 11.5 with 305/25/20 tires. No other aftermarket mods other than the wheels. The traction control handling keeps going active around 70 mph and will not allow the car to accelerate. When I deactivate the traction control the car drives fine or if i put the car in competitive mode it drives fine.

1. Is it the wheel size or tire size? Or,
2. Is it a problem with the traction control handling system

Could be a problem with the tire pressure monitors if they were not installed properly or calibrated with the new wheels. This is a guess on my part based on what I have read, but worth asking about.

More likely a problem with the ratio of front tire diameter to rear tire diameter. If the ratio is considerably different than stock, the traction control system see's it as an error and activates the system.
Stock tires are 25.7 " front and 26.9 " rear in diameter.

Probably the wheel/tire sizes. If the new diameter was equal to the stock diameter there would be no problem but you are smaller in the front and larger in the rear, evidently enough to trigger the TC.

New Front is Plus 0.31 inches stock diameter
New Rear is Minus .85 inches stock diameter

I always thought that the TC was for lower speeds ~<30mph and AH was for higher speeds. Learn something new everyday.

The Toyota dealership where the car is at is taking the Vette over to a Chevy dealer this morning to have them check it out. After reading these threads, I'm sure it will have something to do with the wheels that's makin it go active. I will post what the Chevy dealership indicates the problem is.

Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated.

If the previous owner had installed mismatched wheels, I'd be very suspicious that he had also done other mods that might have undesirable effects.
