Window issue
Today the driver window on my vert started doing a strange thing.
The 1/2" or so the window goes down when you open the door will now not go up when you close it. I have to hit the window switch to get it to do that.
Any ideas or quick fixes shy of taking the beast in?????

Get in , put the car in accessary mode . Pull up window switch , hold for 3 seconds , repeat . should solve your problem .

It sounds like they need to be re-indexed:

But more troublesome is
why they need to be re-indexed...
Try the re-indexing fix, and if the problem returns, it may be time for a trip to a dealer.

THANKS!
I disconnected the battery the other day so the car would learn to work with the new air intake. The engine light is out now.
Perhaps that did something with it.
I'll try the window trick tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks again.

Yup - that's probably the culprit. Sounds like nothing to worry about, just needs the "reboot".

Dead battery or a disconnected battery will require BOTH windows to be re-indexed.

Maybe he only disconnected one terminal on the battery, so he only needs to re-index one window.
Sorry, I couldn't help it.

Don't knock liberals - we're running the country (and GM). Previous crowd sure did a great job, though...
