bluetooth question...

I had saw the onstar vs bluetooth thread and was wondering if I could add the factory bluetooth to my 08... it's the same stearing wheel so i can't imagine it being that hard to replace the left plate with buttons for it but what else is involved... is it just a software update to the radio or is there more actual hardware besides the buttons on the wheel.. J/C

It has been said that it is not possible due to the fact that the '08 and '09 have different hardware.

Onstar box is different, wiring harnesses are different, software is different. GM stated at last years C5/C6 Bash that it would be very cost prohibitive to try and do this.

Would be way too expensive to convert to OEM BT system

Aftermarket is the only solution. Just did mine a couple of weeks ago. DNX8120
